Một URL là một từ khác cho một địa chỉ web.

Một URL có thể được cấu tạo từ (webchoban.com), hoặc địa chỉ một giao thức Internet (IP) (192.68.20.50).

Hầu hết mọi người nhập tên khi lướt web, vì cái tên dễ nhớ hơn so với các con số.

URL - Uniform Resource Locator

trình duyệt Web yêu cầu các trang từ các máy chủ web bằng cách sử dụng một URL.

Khi bạn bấm vào một liên kết trong một trang HTML, một cơ <a> điểm thẻ đến một địa chỉ trên web.

Một Resource Locator Uniform (URL) được sử dụng để giải quyết một tài liệu (hoặc dữ liệu khác) trên web.

Một địa chỉ web, như http://www.webchoban.com sau những quy tắc cú pháp:

scheme://prefix.domain:port/path/filename

Explanation:

• scheme - defines the type of Internet service (most common is http )
• prefix - defines a domain prefix (default for http is www )
• domain - defines the Internet domain name (w3schools.com)
• port - defines the port number at the host (default for http is 80 )
• path - defines a path at the server (If omitted: the root directory of the site)
• filename - defines the name of a document or resource

	Password protected sites might use https and/or a username and password like: https://username:password@www.w3schools.com/html/default.asp

The table below lists some common schemes:

URL Encoding

URLs can only be sent over the Internet using the ASCII character-set . If a URL contains characters outside the ASCII set, the URL has to be converted.

URL encoding converts non-ASCII characters into a format that can be transmitted over the Internet.

URL encoding replaces non-ASCII characters with a "%" followed by hexadecimal digits.

URLs cannot contain spaces. URL encoding normally replaces a space with a plus (+) sign, or %20.
